A frightening shooting at a hospital around 7 a.m. triggered a shelter-in-place order as employees barricaded themselves inside. A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the arm but remained in stable condition after receiving treatment. Authorities described the incident as a targeted attack involving a hospital employee who allegedly fired five shots in the parking lot, hitting a nearby vehicle. Police launched a manhunt before the suspect reportedly surrendered at a home in Macomb Township. Although the suspect’s identity remained unconfirmed, shaken employees described the terrifying experience of arriving at work during the emergency.
