Trump Claims Moore Called Him “Greatest President”
President Donald Trump claimed on Monday, August 25, that Maryland Governor Wes Moore privately told him he is “the greatest president” in Moore’s lifetime. Trump said the comment occurred during the 2024 Army-Navy football game in Landover, Md.
“There, Moore approached me,” Trump said. “He hugged me, shook my hand, and said, ‘Sir, you are the greatest president in my lifetime. You’re doing a fantastic job. I just want to shake your hand.’”Moore Denies the Claim
Governor Moore quickly refuted Trump’s statement. On X, he reposted the video of Trump’s claim and added, “lol.” He followed up with another post: “Keep telling yourself that, Mr. President.”
