Common signs include itching, irritation, and tiny eggs called nits firmly attached to hairs. However, photographs alone cannot confirm an infestation, as other conditions may look similar. Pubic lice can affect anyone, regardless of hygiene, and do not prove infidelity or reveal when transmission occurred. Healthcare professionals can confirm the diagnosis, recommend treatment, and help prevent reinfestation.
