A small village in Konin County, Poland is in shock after a 32-year-old mother and her two daughters, ages 6 and 8, were discovered dead in a septic tank late Sunday night.<\/p>\n
The children\u2019s father raised the alarm after returning home and finding signs of danger. Emergency services launched a major rescue effort with fire crews and divers, but it was too late. The mother was declared dead at the scene, while both children were rushed to hospital and later passed away.<\/p>\n
Investigation Underway
\nAuthorities have opened a homicide investigation to determine whether the case was an accident, a crime, or a suspected murder-suicide. Local reports suggest the mother had a history of psychiatric treatment and a note was found in the house, though prosecutors stress no final conclusions have been made.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis situation is very tragic,\u201d said Sylwia Lewandowska, spokesperson for the Konin Prosecutor\u2019s Office. \u201cIt is too early to discuss findings out of respect for the victims\u2019 relatives.\u201d<\/p>\n
