In a new interview with Us Weekly, Carey opened up about his love life, yubi how he doesn\u2019t date, and learning to move on following the tragic death of his former fianc\u00e9e, Amie Harwick, who was murdered by an ex-boyfriend in 2020.<\/p>\n
Carey said he thinks about Harwick \u201cevery day,\u201d revealing, \u201cHer death still affects me and my ideas about relationships and intimacy. It was all damaged by first our breakup, and then, the day before she died, when she texted me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comedian explained how he and Harwick went through a \u201creally bad\u201d but \u201cnecessary\u201d breakup. \u201cI couldn\u2019t think about her or see a picture of her. I didn\u2019t want to be reminded,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd then I got a text from her out of the blue. She said, \u2018Hey, it\u2019s Amie. I\u2019ve been thinking a lot about forgiveness.
