Two years ago, Wahlberg went on \u201cThe Ellen Show\u201d to talk about a movie he was working on called \u201cSpencer Confidential,\u201d but as often happened on Ellen DeGeneres\u2019s show, the conversation turned to family life.<\/p>\n
DeGeneres brought up the topic of a school dance that Wahlberg attended with his daughter. There were two very notable things that happened during that dance. First, his daughter refused to dance with him. While she was okay with hanging out with him and talking to him at the dance, she absolutely did not want to dance with him. She was afraid he would embarrass her. She did not in any way think he was cool or that dancing with him would be cool.<\/p>\n
Since his daughter didn\u2019t dance with him at the dance, the two of them spent quite a bit of time sitting on the edge of the stage together where they were fairly close to the DJ. During that time, Wahlberg noticed something he didn\u2019t like about the music the DJ was playing, and he confronted the DJ about it. Wahlberg failed to mention if his confrontation with the DJ embarrassed his daughter, but he didn\u2019t back down until the DJ understood he was serious.<\/p>\n
