He was a good kid\u2014kind, sensitive, and smart\u2014but grief hit him like a freight train. The first few months were pure survival. He\u2019d wake up crying in the middle of the night, asking why this happened to us. I had no answers, only empty promises that we\u2019d be okay.<\/p>\n
