\u201cSecretary Noem had an allergic reaction today,\u201d DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to The Independent.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Kristi Noem has been conscious and communicating with her security team, according to CNN sources.<\/p>\n
CNN reported seeing multiple Secret Service agents stationed at various entrances outside the emergency room where Secretary Noem was admitted.<\/p>\n
