White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took a page from her boss President Donald Trump\u2019s playbook and attacked a federal judge who ruled against him.
\nShe branded the judge an \u2018activist\u2019 and even went after his wife over her political donations.<\/p>\n
Leavitt\u2019s attack came after Trump himself called Judge James Boasberg a \u2018radical left lunatic\u2019 and talked up trying to impeach him after he issued a temporary order blocking deportation flights.<\/p>\n
\u2018The judge in this case is essentially trying to say the President doesn\u2019t have the executive authority to deport foreign terrorists from our American soil. That is an egregious abuse of the bench,\u2019 Leavitt said at the White House.<\/p>\n
\u2018This judge cannot, does not, have that authority. It is the opinion of this White House and of this administration. And that\u2019s why we\u2019re fighting this in court. And it\u2019s very, very clear that this is an activist judge who is trying to usurp this president\u2019s authority,\u2019 Leavitt said.<\/p>\n
She added: \u2018Under the Alien Enemies Act the president has the power, and that\u2019s why the the deportation campaign will will continue. And this judge, Judge Boasberg, is a Democrat activist. He was appointed by Barack Obama.\u2019<\/p>\n
