\u201cBy designating June as Family Month, we reject the falsehood of \u2018Pride\u2019 and instead honor God\u2019s eternal and perfect design. If we genuinely wish to restore our nation, we must unite to protect and uphold the foundation upon which it was established \u2014 the family.\u201d<\/p>\n
This resolution emerges as the Trump Administration has initiated measures to abolish the observance of identity months, including Pride Month, within the federal government. On Monday, the Department of Education proclaimed June as \u201cTitle IX Month\u201d in acknowledgment of the 53rd anniversary of the legislation\u2019s enactment and as a direct counter to the previous administration\u2019s \u201cPride Month\u201d policies.<\/p>\n
Miller\u2019s resolution dismisses the ideological gender principles promoted by activists over the past decade, according to the Daily Wire. It characterizes the traditional nuclear family as \u201cthe cornerstone of a healthy society\u201d and asserts that mothers and fathers \u201cplay a vital and irreplaceable role in the upbringing of their children.\u201d<\/p>\n
Furthermore, it states that the \u201coptimal environment for children to flourish is a household with a married mother and father\u201d before addressing the concerning divorce rate in the United States and the unprecedented number of young Americans postponing or entirely forgoing family formation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe birth rate in the United States has decreased to a level below what is necessary to maintain the population and support the economy,\u201d the resolution asserts.<\/p>\n
\u201cPride Month was initially established in June by President Bill Clinton in 1999, a practice that has been continued by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, who have dismissed the significance of marriage and family,\u201d the resolution states, emphasizing that since that time, \u201cAmericans have been overwhelmed with inappropriate Pride Month displays and events throughout June that undermine the traditional family structure.\u201d<\/p>\n
Miller concluded by stating that the survival of civilization relies on the \u201cperpetuation of traditional marriage and family.\u201d<\/p>\n
