Residents of an apartment building in Saint-\u00c9tienne, in the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes region, heard noises that sounded like a baby weeping on the evening of Saturday,March 23 to Sunday, March 24 at approximately 4:30 a.m.stains from blood. They were horrified to discover blood trails when they emerged from their apartments after hearing the cries.<\/p>\n
They traced the blood\u2019s path to the building\u2019s trash room, which was the corridor that led to the basements.<\/p>\n
The neighbors promptly called emergency services because of the cries and blood, which suggested the infant had just been born.<\/p>\n
According to Le Progr\u00e8s, the emergency personnel called the D\u00e9partemental Fire and Rescue Service of Loire (SDIS) and sent a team from the Loire Samu to the scene.<\/p>\n
prompt medical attention. The infant, who was hypothermic and still had the umbilical cord, was promptly cared to by one of the physicians. According to France Bleu, the infant was healthy and their lives were not in jeopardy.<\/p>\n
An inquiry was started. On Sunday, March 24, the infant was taken to the CHU of Saint-\u00c9tienne and stayed there.<\/p>\n
