When a reporter asked Donald Trump if he would pardon Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs if he were found guilty in his s*x trafficking trial, his response was unexpected.<\/p>\n
Diddy, 55, faces five felony accusations, including transportation to engage in pro.stit.ution, s*x trafficking, and ra.cke.teeri.ng conspiracy.<\/p>\n
To every case, the music mogul entered a not guilty plea.<\/p>\n
Testimonies at Combs\u2019 trial, which is in its third week in New York, have come from a number of people, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who claims to have endured years of abuse, her ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi, who claimed that Diddy was involved in his 2012 firebombing of his Porsche, and a male escort known as \u201cThe Punisher,\u201d who has talked about his purported freak-off experiences.<\/p>\n

\nThe court denied the defense\u2019s request for a mistrial earlier this week after Diddy\u2019s attorneys claimed that the prosecution attempted to suggest to the jury that he obstructed Kid Cudi\u2019s inquiry into his blown-up Porsche.<\/p>\n
A journalist recently asked President Trump, who has been photographed with Diddy on several occasions over the years, if he would think about pardoning the founder of Bad Boy.<\/p>\n
The reporter began the question by mentioning that in 2012, Trump, who is now 78, thought of Combs as a buddyy.<\/p>\n
He said in a recent news conference: \u201cNobody\u2019s asked, but I know people are thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst of all, I\u2019d look at what\u2019s happening, and I haven\u2019t been watching it too closely\u2026I haven\u2019t seen him. I haven\u2019t spoken to him in years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump added: \u201cHe used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, sort of, that relationship busted up from what I read.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou become a much different person when you run for politics and you do what\u2019s right Our country\u2019s doing really well because of what we\u2019re doing.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don\u2019t like me, it wouldn\u2019t have any impact on me.\u201d<\/p>\n
It follows Wednesday\u2019s pardons of reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.<\/p>\n
The president also pardoned rapper NBA Youngboy, who was convicted of gun-related offences.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building \u2014 as a man, as a father, and as an artist,\u201d the rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, said in a statement.<\/p>\n
