Lainey Wilson Attends the 2025 CMA Awards With Her Fianc\u00e9 Duck Hodges<\/p>\n
Ever since Lainey Wilson announced her engagement in February, fans have been asking the same question:
\nWhen is she getting married?<\/p>\n
Wilson had plenty to celebrate on Wednesday night (November 19), when she hosted the 59th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville. She became only the third woman in CMA history to host the ceremony solo, following icons Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.<\/p>\n
On top of hosting, Wilson delivered two show-stopping performances\u2014first a medley of country hits, then a fiery, crowd-pleasing rendition of her own song \u201cRing Finger.\u201d<\/p>\n
And she didn\u2019t just run the show\u2026she dominated the awards too.<\/p>\n

Wilson walked away with three major trophies:
\n\u2022 Album of the Year
\n\u2022 Female Vocalist of the Year
\n\u2022 Entertainer of the Year<\/p>\n
She celebrated all night long alongside her fianc\u00e9, former NFL quarterback Devlin \u201cDuck\u201d Hodges. The couple walked the red carpet hand in hand, and Hodges watched proudly from the audience as Wilson delivered joke after joke, performance after performance, and ultimately accepted her Entertainer of the Year trophy.<\/p>\n
Lainey Reveals When She\u2019s Getting Married \u2014 During Her Speech<\/p>\n
One of the night\u2019s sweetest moments came when Wilson accepted Entertainer of the Year from Keith Urban. Wilson thanked her team, her fans\u2026and then turned to her fianc\u00e9 with a smile.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re getting married next year, come on now!\u201d she said proudly, confirming a 2026 wedding.<\/p>\n
Wilson admitted she entered the night just grateful to be hosting, saying,
\n\u201cI just came in here wanting to celebrate country music, the love of my life, and the love of so many of y\u2019all\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hodges beamed from the crowd as she spoke, proving once again he\u2019s her biggest supporter.<\/p>\n
Wedding Planning? Well\u2026 Sort Of<\/p>\n
Back in August, Wilson admitted she and Hodges hadn\u2019t gotten very far with the actual planning.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, you ain\u2019t gonna believe this, but we still have not planned it, bless his heart,\u201d she told Taste of Country Nights. \u201cIt just seems like everything else is getting planned instead.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple is still deciding the basics\u2014big wedding or small, who\u2019s invited, who\u2019s not\u2014but Wilson says she does know two things for sure:<\/p>\n
1. There will be jazz music.
\n2. She will finally wear a dress.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hadn\u2019t worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it,\u201d she told The Kelleigh Bannen Show.<\/p>\n
