17-Year-Old Pheobe Bishop Missing After Failing to Board Scheduled Flight – Details

Seventeen-year-old Pheobe Bishop has been missing since May 15, 2025, prompting an intensified search by Queensland police. She was last seen at Bundaberg Airport at 8:30 a.m., dressed in grey sweatpants and a green tank top, carrying luggage. However, she never checked in or boarded her flight.

Pheobe, who is about 180 cm tall with long red hair, vanished under suspicious circumstances. A grey Hyundai ix35 linked to her last known movements has been seized, and both the vehicle and her home in Gin Gin have been declared crime scenes.

Authorities are urging anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage from May 15–18 in the Bundaberg or Gin Gin areas to come forward. The search now includes Good Night Scrub National Park, with help from specialized police units. Several items potentially connected to Pheobe have been found and are undergoing forensic testing.

Pheobe’s family, especially her mother Kylie Johnson, has spoken out about the emotional toll of her disappearance. In her final TikTok post, Pheobe referenced family issues and a desire to leave home permanently.

Witnesses say she appeared to be struggling in the weeks before vanishing, showing signs of hunger and financial stress. Guns were found in the seized Hyundai, and her roommate Tanika Kristan Bromley was arrested on unrelated weapons charges. Another roommate, James Wood, has been questioned but is not considered a suspect.

Police continue to follow leads and are appealing to the public for any information that may help bring Pheobe home safely.
