Casi Rott, a 33-year-old Kansas mother and school secretary, was preparing for life with five children when she and her husband, Joey, welcomed triplets. After returning home, she spent precious hours doing ordinary things, baking cookies and folding baby clothes, unaware that tragedy was approaching. When severe chest pain struck, Joey rushed her to the hospital, but despite emergency treatment, Casi died. A pulmonary embolism was suspected. Suddenly, Joey faced raising five children while grieving his beloved wife. Their devastated community rallied around the family, raising thousands of dollars to ease the burden. Though support could never replace Casi, it offered hope.
